Meet The Team
Aimee CEntaine
Aimee Centaine considers herself open-minded, and she loves the history that naturally goes hand in hand with hauntings...
"I’m open-minded but maybe a little skeptical when it comes to ghosts. However, I’ve had the odd experience that makes me think.
I once had the sensation of a small person gripping my pinky at a reportedly haunted cottage, and recently I’ve been hearing children’s voices calling my name from behind me at the office, in areas where there are no children, and its not likely that any children present would know me, or my name.
Kimberley [Lendrum] was constantly taking me out on little ghost hunts when we were kids (oh Lord, so dangerous!) and she organised a ghost hunt at Kingseat back in 2006 that I was on.
One of the skills I’ve had to hone for work is that I have to record all information factually, but be compassionate and respectful. I believe these skills also transfer to staying open-minded but also looking for the truth of a situation without leaping to erroneous conclusions.
I enjoy a little bit of baking and gardening, and I’ve always loved reading and writing fiction. I’m exploring making resin jewellery at the moment and am enjoying experimenting.
I love that Haunted New Zealand is made up of good people who just want to get out there and find ghosts, and help anyone with weird experiences along the way.”
